The most crucial game of the last round was a loss ofPollitas in Isabela on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by Gigantes 71-66 . Carolina made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Teana Muldrow (188-1995, college: WVU) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. The other American import guard Selena Lott (180-1999, college: Marquette) contributed with 12 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Four Gigantes players scored in double figures. American swingman Quionche Carter (183, college: FGCU) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and U.S. Virgin Islands center Anisha George (188-1998, college: N.Texas) added 17 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Isabela. Pollitas' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
